In October 2026, under the Employment Rights Act, unions will gain new digital access rights to workers.  

Some unions already have digital arrangements in place. Most are working out what this shift means for how they organise, communicate and bring members in.

We're bringing unions together for a Digital Summit to work through what this looks like in practice, with speakers from across the movement and small-group sessions to explore aspects in more detail.

The Digital Summit is designed for union senior leaders, functional leads and staff who need to bridge the gap between legal rights and effective member engagement.  

During the event we will cover:

• The regulatory landscape: what will the new Code of Practice actually require from employers and unions?

• Greenfield vs recognition: how do we deploy digital access in workplaces with no existing union presence?

• Operational readiness: Are your CRM and membership systems prepared to handle the data captured through digital access?

• Content and skills: What does ‘good’ digital communication look like, and do your teams have the skills to deliver it?
